Joystream is a decentralized open-source video blockchain powered by the native $JOY token. Atlas is our consumer-facing video app, which is similar to platforms you’re already familiar with, but with new and exciting opportunities to make a living by selling content as NFTs, and even tokenizing the channel so that people can invest in creators they believe in.

The Joystream organization is run by incentivized community members as opposed to a centralized company with its own political beliefs and advertisers that need to be pleased. This means that anyone can get a seat at the table and contribute to the platform through ideas, discussions, and doing work.
